Wassily Kandinsky:
An art theorist, who uses visual vocabulary to express his mind set.
I am intrigued by Kandisnky’s work as he also uses harsh angles with colour. I found here ( https://ekaterinasmirnova.wordpress.com/2012/08/06/basic-color-theory-by-kandinsky-44/ ) that Kandinsky came up with a theory combining both shapes and colours.
Composition VII – 1913 :
Kandinsky uses a swirling hurricane of colours and shapes. The painting shows visual vocabulary in which many art historians believe the painting has many themes being the Judgement day, the flood and the Garden of Eden.

I am inspired by Kandinsky’s use of shapes – triangles, circles, checkerboard. This paintings shouts Geometric!
